The South African Government requires that all international students pay their fees in advance and attend full-time studies.
The Government also requires a repatriation guarantee to be paid to the Embassy in your country when you apply for a study visa for more than one year. When you return to your country after your studies are finished this will be refunded.

Refunds
10% administrative fee is retained on all cancellations made less than a month before you start your course. Students who begin a course but fail to complete it will not be refunded.

Payment Options
For all students who do not hold a South African passport and/or Identity Document, the full tuition fee must be paid in advance. This is a South African government requirement. A study visa will not be granted by the Embassy until proof is received from the school that the full amount has been paid.

Money Matters
To help you calculate how much money you will need to study in South Africa, as of Sept 2007 the exchange rate was U.S. $1.00 to R7. Using the US $ figure: A full year's school fees in 2008 would be $6320. Home-stay accommodation would be $520 per month. For self-catering accommodation food is inexpensive, except for imported items so allow $150 maximum per month. Clothes are also well priced and a good selection of up-to-date designs are available.
